Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 180°C and grease tin slightly / flour and line with greaseproof paper

Step 2

In a small saucepan melt the butter and sugar over a medium heat until melted, stir occasionally

Once melted turn off and take off heat and allow to cool slightly

Step 3

In a large bowl add the dry ingredients and then add the vanilla and the eggs (if you want crack eggs first into a small bowl to avoid getting shell in the mix)

Whisk with a fork and add the cooled butter/sugar mix to form a batter

Step 5

Skip this step if no extras (chocolate/nuts) selected during order

Use a chopping board and sharp knife to cut up the walnuts/ white chocolate into pieces, add to batter (or resereve some for sprinkling on the top) by folding in

Step 4

Scoop batter into the prepared tin and press evenly (sprinkle nuts/white choc if desired)

Bake in the oven for about 20 – 25 minutes or until the toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs

Step 5

Allow to cool in the tin on a cooling rack

Once cooled, remove from tin and cut into squares

Store in an airtight container
