Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 180°C and prepare a 8×8″ tin by lining with the greaseproof paper provided

Step 2

Open the can of chickpeas, drain and pat dry with a clean tea towel/paper towel

Step 3

In a food processor/ blender, or with a fork/ potato masher and a bowl, blend/mash all ingredients except chocolate until a smoothish, thick paste

Step 4

Cut chocolate up into small chunks and fold the chunks into the blondie batter with a spoon or spatula

Step 5

Once chunks are combined spoon out the mixture into the prepared tin, smooth down evenly

Step 6

Bake, in the centre of the oven, for around 20 – 25 minutes and when the cocktail stick comes out with a few moist crumbs it’s done

Step 7

When baked remove from oven and allow to cool in tin for 20 minutes on a cooling rack

Step 8

Once cooled cut into squares
